Charlotte coming up

The Lady Techsters will play Charlotte today. Charlotte is 3-9, so I expect another win. We are on a 4 game win streak again.

We are third in the overall standings right now, but just haven't played as many conference games as North Texas in the West. North Texas did beat us 2 out of 3 for that series, though, in a very bad performance by us.

West:
North Texas 10-2
Louisiana Tech 7-2
Next highest UTSA at 6-6

East:
WKU (the team to beat this year) 9-0
Marshal and MTSU both at 6-3

Overall records for these teams:
WKU 26-6
Louisiana Tech 27-9
North Texas 23-12

We have a shot at making a great run this year. Our schedule looks a lot better than the others, so we need to just keep winning. No more slip ups like we had at North Texas. We have a great shot at winning the West over North Texas. We will worry about WKU after that, as they are a heavy favorite to win the East.

Yep! Tech is now 9-2 in the West with North Texas at 10-2. WKU lost one game in the East and is now 10-1. I think we are done with Charlotte (played both games on Saturday - 2 game series in softball). Correct me if I am wrong. We play some non-conference games next and, then, pick up with UTEP after that in Ruston. UTEP is 4-8 in conference. North Texas plays WKU at WKU in their next conference action. We will likely be in first place in the West after next weekend.

Louisiana Tech and North Texas are both 10-2 in the West. WKU is 10-2 in the East.

We are in a three way tie for the top overall in the conference right now. We should be a solid #1 in the West after this weekend - no tie, if we play like we have been playing over the past 2 weeks.

Might want to look back and see what they did to us last year. Maybe that was the attitude last year as well.
