    Baseball Bulldogs Fall Late to Marshall

    The Louisiana Tech baseball team owned a 3-1 lead heading into the eighth inning, but saw Marshall score three in the eighth and three in the ninth, as the visitors took a 7-3 comeback triumph on Thursday evening from J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park.

    I wouldn’t call it ‘Fall Late’ as much as I’d say failed to bury them when we should’ve and deflate any aspirations of winning on their part.

    Burroughs has to figure out what it’s going to take to be our best on our field. It’s downright shameful to play not our best ball at home. Whatever we’ve been doing isn’t good enough.

    The Dawgs had better get their heads right because to lose this series or be swept would obviously be worse than the sweep debacle suffered to SMiss.

    Not scoring many runs lately though we have been on a bit of a good streak.
    Gonna need to be north of 6 runs per game to beat a team that is currently the hottest offense in the conference. If we lose this series we will likely fall to 4th or 5th place. EVERY game at this point is important. This is the point in the season where a slump ends any post season chances.
