    Re: Dawgs VS Trojans

Little Rock is no slouch! Every pitcher they threw was good. We got guys on base but couldn’t deliver the break through hit when it mattered most until when it mattered the most. It was a quality win on Tech’s part to hang in and play it to win it right down to the final pitch. That’s the sign of a Team with purpose.

Baseball Bulldogs Walk Off Trojans Behind Wells’ Heroics

A new article has been posted on www.latechsports.com:

The No. 18 Louisiana Tech baseball team came out on top over the visiting Little Rock Trojans on Tuesday evening, courtesy of a walk-off solo home run to dead center field in the bottom of the ninth inning from Hunter Wells, giving the Bulldogs a 5-4 victory in front of 1,064 from J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park.

Couldn’t have drew it up in the dirt any better.

Sounds like the home crowd got their money's worth in this one.

Re: Bulldogs Walk Off Trojans Behind Wells’ Heroics

It was a good game. All the pitchers on both teams threw a good game. That last pitcher for UALR retired 12 Tech batters in a row until Wells took him downtown.

Bryce Fagan showed me some stuff last night. I'd not seen him in a game before. Can clock 90+ mph. Tops was 95. Had to search for the plate sometimes, but can really bring it. Guys nearly swing out of their cleats when he'd followup with a 80 - 82 mph change up.

A lot of respect for UALR. The game may not have helped our stats that much, but that was a quality win last night.
