Bunting with two strikes is something he has called before. So many bad things can happen when you bunt with two strikes. Blame the umpire for the bad call which is baseball. Keeping the bunt on with two strikes is NOT baseball.
Yes it was classic overcoaching.
He also should have known his players. Garcia looked like he’s never bunted before. Dropped the barrel basically begging for a pop-up. No way he in particular should have been bunting there, let alone with 2 strikes.
This feels like the type of game that you can rally around and really band together as a team or that you can dwell on and ruin the rest of the season. Doesn’t feel like there’s an in-between.
I agree. Listening to the post game things can go either way. Bad loss to a bad team on Wednesday which the players knew was not all on them. Now a three game losing streak and they know they will return home to a mess.
Right now Tech is doing everything exactly right not to win games, unaccomplishing coaching teamed with subpar play.

Lost game 3 after a bonehead coaching move to send the lead runner home in the top of the 10th with no chance to score. This team is going to have to dig deep now.
Is it just me, or was that a foul tip? Shouldn't have been 2 strikes? Granted I haven't played baseball in a long time, but that looked like a foul to me. Dawgs get swept on two of the most terrible last innings I've seen. Anywho, back to it. Win the tourney and make it a season dawgs! #bounceback
Unless we win 10 out of last 13 our RPI will be irrelevant & our hopes will depend on winning tourney. We scored less than 2 runs per game this series. Pitching was competitive but our offense is slumping bad at the wrong time of year. Sounds familiar uhh.
Once again in the post game show, Burroughs sounds like the kind of coach who rides the highs comfortably but can’t think how to correct the lows. This is his ship to get off the rocks and coach talk ain’t going to get it down.

After tragedy, the Techsters responded by DEMOLISHING wku in an away home game.
The Dawgs responded by not doing that.
Although they should have been allowed to come home and start to come to terms with the situation.
