Where should LaTech rebuild baseball stadium

Yeah, our District 2-5A schedule runs Friday-Saturday. Show me the doable part.

It's not ideal - but it's better than playing games at numerous facilities. Like I said, Ruston JV/Freshman would need to play at one of the Ruston Sports stadiums and Tech would need to practice there.

Here is Ruston's home & district schedule for 2019.
Red games are played on same day as Tech home games this year.

It looks as RHS & Tech already try not to schedule games at the same time. It would be very 'doable' to make sure Tech is on the road during the 2nd weekend.

I'm sure C-USA and whoever schedules for District 2-5A can figure a way to make it work.

That literally looks like a little league complex. You can find that in Minden.

Well its all they need. Concept is what matters, can be applied on a bigger scale. They built this to allow themselves to host their conference tournaments and D2/D3 (whatever they are) regionals I believe.

Remove the remaining dorms on the west side of Tech Drive (Mitchell, Cottingham, and Richardson). Art studios can be relocated somewhere else on campus - maybe even in Harper for the time being.

Plenty of room for both fields. And LOTS of parking space - something the two existing sites do not have. Parking that will be a plus for students during the day.

I think the area where Nielson & Caruthers would be perfect. It wouldn't have the apartments, but you could have the train.

Also, according to the Master Plan, all three buildings in that area are destined for demolition. We could place the Softball and Soccer/Track facilities there as well. We could build a nice concession/restroom facility for use with all three.

If we use RHS next year, they could add some temporary bleachers down the first base line past the bullpen/light pole for more seating. Maybe even some on 3rd base side or in the outfield.

I think we could do the below without much cost "if" we use RHS.

Outside Park

• Truck Tailgate Parking (this is for our fans who watch games in the Shack outfield), folks can back up their trucks, open pit bbq, party in this area.

Inside Park

• Add additional temp seating
• Food Truck area (not sure how adequate the concession are for added fans in the park, I assume we need to bring in food trucks)
• Reserve tent (not sure what to call it)
• Maybe add port-a-john area

This might be too much to ask but if the softball stadium is destroyed also, could we switch softball's layout to match the baseball's layout at the love shack? That way when driving down Tech Drive, you face towards the back of both the baseball stadium and softball stadium at the intersection of Tech and Alabama? It would look much better if they can mirror their designs, or at least make them match i.e not one be metal stands and the other be concrete and brick. That parking lot is an eyesore when driving down Tech's "entrance" down Tech drive. They can put the parking lot behind the the stadium probably.

It really is not much smaller than what TECH had before. This is a non-issue
