If you were Taiwan, or the Philippines, Japan, Australia, etc. would you have confidence Trump would order US forces to engage the Chicoms in a war, should China invade? It's a fair question, and a big concern for our "allies" in the Pacific region. Trump just said during one of his impromptu press conferences "President Xi is a friend of mine. I get along great with Xi."

As I have posted elsewhere, Trump plays a good hand of poker. One can never really tell what hand he is holding. But this is real life, not a card game. The whole world knows China wants Taiwan, and if they are able to invade, with no response from the US, then China will attack the Philippines next, and then...who knows?

Trump's foreign policy in his 1st term was brilliant. He enjoyed one of the best terms as POTUS in foreign affairs. He clobbered ISIS, he supported the Kurds...right up to the mistake he made opening his mouth. Which should show him, and his loyal mind-numbed followers, just how critical what the POTUS says is. The whole world hangs on every utterance from the President of the United States...every single word! He built the Quads, he had the Abraham Accords...both HUGE foreign policy accomplishments. No new wars started in the world during his 4-year tenure. The start of his 2nd term has been a foreign policy disaster.

Everything he did in his 1st term was considered a”foreign policy disaster” by your now valued globalist sources. I’d rather have a deal making poker player putting America first than a swampy “diplomat” who claims they want the impossible…world peace.

Trump will tell you if he can be POTUS for life, there would be world peace. He believes that anyway.

Again, you are off base. I don't hate Trump. That is dumb to even say that. I voted for him three times, and would again, should he ever be able to run again. But, I have my own opinions and views, which mostly dovetail with Trump's. But when they don't I say so. This is why I have credibility.

    Re: China

Jim Cramer, the CNBC so-called "stock guru" is defending Trump saying, surely President Trump, the US, has a plan to defend Taiwan, in the event of an invasion by the Chicoms. The two co-hosts scoffed at this notion saying, you think Trump will defend Taiwan? No way! Cramer makes the case for defending Taiwan because of their chip industry and that is reason enough, so says Cramer. He's right, and Cramer is very seldom right about anything. Stock market investors follow the mantra of doing the exact opposite of whatever Cramer recommends. If he says buy stock XYZ, everyone dashes to sell it ASAP. Cramer is running joke amongst serious investors; he's for entertainment value only.

But, whether he actually thinks Trump has a plan to defend Taiwan or not, what is factual is the US and our allies had better defend Taiwan. If the Chicoms get their hands on the Taiwan chip industry, or even if all the plants are utterly destroyed in a war, the loss of Taiwan chips to the world market will have a huge impact for many years, a decade, to come. Not to mention the other ramifications on world security should Taiwan fall to China.

This is why Trump, and before him, the Biden puppet, push for the US to ramp up our own chip industry. The Biden administration made grants to US chip makers available, and Intel stepped up and said it would build a new chip plant, planned for Ohio. But thus far, I don't think they have even broken ground at the site yet.

    Re: China

    IF TRUE...

Have to start with the caveat "if true" because I have seen this information posted on only one, sometime reliable, sometime exaggerating YouTube channel, "Fulgur." But FWIW, Fulgur reports the US is starting to make good on the delivery of the new F-16 version to Taiwan. The latest F-16 is called the F-16V, which is nicknamed the "Viper." Back in 2019 during Trump's first term, the US agreed to a contract to sell/deliver 66 "Vipers" to Taiwan. Currently Taiwan has 160 F-16s, all very, very good planes, but not the latest version. Pundits say Taiwan needs 200+ F-16s to withstand an all-out aerial assault by China. Well, this would boost their total to 226, and the effectiveness/survivability of the F-16 Viper is greatly enhanced.

So, it has been 6 years since the 2019 deal was signed, why are these new F-16s just now starting to be delivered? What happened? Biden happened. Or, more accurately, Chicom protests and threats to Hunter Biden and the Biden Crime Family et al. Taiwan paid a down-payment back in 2019 for the jets and will finish paying for them upon delivery. Lockheed Martin now holds ownership of the F-16, although it was originally General Dynamics that designed and manufactured the Fightin' Falcon. Lockheed Martin, I see in an article from 2001, filed a mild protest with the Biden administration when they were ordered to halt delivery of the new F-16s to Taiwan. The Bidenites paid off Lockheed to shut up with promises of future contracts, that of course, never came. Looks like some things are returning to normal now that the Bidenites are out of power.

Upon hearing the news of the renewed delivery of the Vipers to Taiwan, again according to Fulgur, Japan and Australia expressed thanks and a "sigh of relief." Thus far exactly one F-16V "Viper" has been delivered to Taiwan, back in 2001. It was a prototype to show Taiwan's air force what the F-16V is capable of. Fulgur showed video footage, from 2001, of a Taiwan test pilot putting the Viper through its paces and later, in an interview, this pilot, a colonel, raved about it. Mostly the F-16V upgrades are in electronics, and now, in fact, delaying the delivery is actually a good thing. Lockheed Martin is including even later advanced electronics that wasn't available in 2019 when the contract was signed.

Good for Taiwan!! Kick Chicom ass!

    Re: China

Vietnam will be buying 24 F-16s, I assume the "Viper." And 6 C-130 cargo planes. This represents another step toward further isolating China, and their blow buddy Russia. This deal has been in the works since 2001, but the Biden administration "tabled" it so as not to offend the Chicoms. In typical hypocritical style, Beijing is putting out ridiculous statements how this will "destabilize the region." LOL!

Now The Philippines are expressing interest in acquiring some F-16s too.

    Re: China

India just delivered some of their state-of-the-art anti-ship missiles to The Philippines. These are considered some of the very best, most lethal, missiles capable, depending on the warhead used, of sinking the largest capital ships...like aircraft carriers. The missiles can be fitted with a variety of warheads as needed. These are known as BrahMos (N18V) missiles. They are supersonic (2,000+ mph), can travel high in altitude or skim the surface. Their range is 200 miles and can be fitted to be launched from ships, aircraft, mobile ground launchers, and hardened fixed silos. The Philippines are set to receive two guided-missile frigates from South Korea, and it is speculated these ships will be equipped with the BrahMos missiles.

Indonesia and Vietnam also want to purchase the BrahMos missiles. India is set to enter talks with them.

India is still refusing to deal directly with Taiwan as they wish to avoid any direct agitation of China. The Chicoms don't give a chit about India's "feelings" on this, China would invade India if not for the fact India can defend itself.

Well, Taiwan doesn't have to worry about India providing weapons...the US continues to step up. Just announced the deployment of the anti-ship missile, NMESIS, to the Luzon Strait, at Taiwan. The Philippines is also getting a battery of the US-made NMESIS.

    Good stuff!

China has seized a coral reef island belonging to the Philippines. Just happened this morning, well, late afternoon their time. The Filipinos have a radar station there that is not manned, just checked by technicians as needed. There was a Filipino patrol boat nearby, but it withdrew when two Chicom frigates showed up escorting a landing craft of Chinese soldiers. This is an act of aggression, an invasion of sovereign territory. We'll see what happens next.

The Philippines have responded sending a rather large contention of navy vessels, which compelled the Chicoms to leave. Only they didn't go far. The landing craft carried away the 6 remaining Chinese soldiers and linked up with one their frigates about 10 miles away. The Chicoms disassembled the radar to 1) reverse engineer any technology new to them, and 2) to leave it inoperable. Actually, the Chicoms were not finished with their tampering, so they will try to return later.

This is all part of the Chicom plan of "normalizing invasion." See the next post.

    Re: China

An interesting, and alarming, article was written by a British retired commander who now serves as a consultant for the British Navy and other NATO navies. He is part of a military think tank now. Retired Commander Tom Sharpe, accurately portrays the Chicoms' strategic plan to seize all of the Pacific region, starting close to home in the South China Sea, with 1) Taiwan 2) the Philippines 3) Indonesia 4) Malaysia for starters, and later Vietnam, Japan, etc. The Chicoms are patient and have developed a 50-year plan to accomplish all of their goals.

China is seizing islands and strips of land that they claim belongs to no one. Thus, they can plant their flag and claim it. When they get pushback, depending on how strong the country is, the Chicoms will either dig in or quietly withdraw and try again later. Tom Sharpe says the Chicoms are wearing down the resolve of its adversaries, which is any country not named China! Eventually the weaker nations will give in and write it off as just some small island, no biggie. Then China moves on to the next island or chunk of land. Sharpe says the Chicoms are also testing the resolve of the western powers, and Japan & Australia, and of course, especially the US who China knows is the leader of the free world (at least for the time being). Next week a British carrier task force will sail through the South China Sea. Beijing has openly voiced displeasure with this calling it "provocative." The Brits say, no, we're just sailing in international waters and mean no threat to any nation. When this news hit, some in the UK, liberal politicians and libtard media, called for the trek through the South China Sea to be called off, saying it was "provocative" and "offensive" to Beijing. One asked, how would we feel if China sent a navy task force through the English Channel? Easy one to answer, since China routinely sends its navy ships through the Channel.

Sharpe says China knows how to manipulate the media, planting stories, their propaganda, and slowly, inevitably winning the minds of populations. Also wearing down the resolve of western political leaders. Oh, it's the Chinese being Chinese, ya know. No harm with them seizing uninhabited islands...

    "normalizing invasion"
