China stifles coronavirus research in apparent bid to control narrative, analysts say


Two websites for leading universities in China seem to have published and then deleted academic research about the origins of the coronavirus, according to a report.

The posts on the websites of Fudan University and the China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) were erased from online caches -- in a possible bid to control the narrative surrounding the pandemic, The Guardian reported.

The Wuhan university appeared to have published and then deleted posts about academic research that China’s ministry of science and technology needed to approve before publication.

Similar apparent censorship turned up in the form of deleted posts originally published on April 9 by the school of information science and technology at Fudan University in Shanghai

This is a tough issue for me personally. It's a shame for the people of China, the vast majority of whom are good folks, victims of communism. I had the pleasure/privilege of traveling to China for about 5 years, 1991-1996, doing business for a large corporation. And since then in a different capacity in academia. And, I have friends who have been in Hong Kong for decades and are still there working for banks and industry. And, as I have mentioned, Dr. Pan of Shenzhen University has reconnected to send PPEs. Good people. But...

...the danger the Chicoms, like all other lefties, present to the world trumps concerns for the people. During WWII we slaughtered hundreds of thousands, even millions, of innocent people who happen to be German or Japanese citizens bombing cities just to destroy those regimes. Collateral damage is sad but unavoidable. In this case it will be economic harm, and hopefully not too much real harm, the average Chinese citizen will have to endure. But the Chicom regime must be brought to its knees.

Seems plausible. I certainly wouldn't discount obummer being involved with a plot to kill Americans. And there are some interesting facts in there. Some of the numbers are off some, but it doesn't diminish the overall premise.

If The Onion is Babylonbee has an article, then I’ll believe it. It’s been a long time since those outlets put out a satirical piece. They tend to be way more accurate than anything that claims to be news.

State Department leaked cables renew theories on origin of coronavirus


US sounded alarm on Wuhan lab studying coronavirus two years ago, report says
State Department cables obtained by The Washington Post warned about the safety and security of coronavirus testing on bats in China in 2018; Gillian Turner reports.



A Chinese laboratory at the center of new theories about how the coronavirus pandemic started was the subject of multiple urgent warnings inside the U.S. State Department two years ago, according to a new report.

U.S. Embassy officials warned in January 2018 about inadequate safety at the Wuhan Institute of Virology lab and passed on information about scientists conducting risky research on coronavirus from bats, The Washington Post reported Tuesday.

Those cables have renewed speculation inside the U.S. government about whether Wuhan-based labs were the source of the novel coronavirus, although no firm connection has been established. The theory, however, has gained traction in recent days.


The United Kingdom has said that the idea that the virus, which has turned into a full-blown global pandemic, was leaked from a Wuhan lab is "no longer being discounted."

A member of the U.K. government's emergency committee of senior officials claimed Sunday: "There is a credible alternative view (to the zoonotic theory) based on the nature of the virus. Perhaps it is no coincidence that there is a laboratory in Wuhan."

Foreign affairs expert Gordon Chang said in a recent opinion piece on Fox News that "many Chinese believe the virus either was deliberately released or accidentally escaped from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, a P4-level bio-safety facility."

He added: "This lab, known for studying coronaviruses, is not far from the market that had been initially identified as the source of the outbreak."

There's a 55-minute video circulating on FACEBOOK! produced by Epoch Times (think that's the name). I haven't watched it yet, since it is 55 minutes, will watch it later. Apparently they have "the truth" of the whole Chicom cover-up thingy. Even without seeing it, yet, I assume it will have some interesting conspiracy theories in it, but want to see what evidence they present.

Apparently, this happened 15 years ago. I could not find anything, but someone else may be able to.

I mentioned on another thread, it's part of the Chicoms world conquest doctrine, which is a "published" set of documents. It is not a secret. Doctrine #9 focuses on fighting the US, and our likely allies in such an encounter, and in it their military leaders state: we cannot defeat the US in a direct confrontation, therefore we must rely on other means. It is also no secret the Chicoms have been working on all kinds of chemical and biological weapons.

Fang Bin had been posting videos from Wuhan overcrowded hospitals, including footage of body bags piled in a minibus, waiting to be carted to a crematorium.

Nations all over the world will forsake the cheap slave labor in China and start manufacturing critical items at home again. China's economy is going to totally collapse. Ours may collapse as well, but ours will recover. Their's will not. Not anytime soon anyway.
