Chicoms sent 300 soldiers to secure an outpost located in a disputed area along the border, Tawang Sector, expecting a walk-over. Instead, Indian troops already occupied the post and fired on the approaching Chinese soldiers. There was an exchange of gunfire, with minimal casualties reported by both sides.
The world has been focused on Ukraine and meanwhile the Chicoms have been quietly expanding their influence. In the South China Sea, the Chicoms have finished militarizing three man-made islands designed to threaten international shipping and discourage foreign naval vessels from passing through the region. A Swedish frigate waited until the Chicoms completed a ceremony installing a commander of one of the islands, then purposely sailed by as close as they could. The Chicoms signaled threats to the frigate, but the Swedes replied they were in international waters and have every right to be there. Other than some verbal jousting, the frigate passed without incident.
Now, Vietnam has revealed they are building their own islands in the South China Sea as a deterrent to Chinese expansion. The islands will be military bases, armed with anti-ship and anti-aircraft missile batteries. The Chicoms filed a formal protest stating such a move by Vietnam will just heighten tension in the region and increase the likelihood of armed conflict. Don't you just love the hypocrisy of "lefties." See it everywhere. DOUBLE STANDARDS GALORE!
Not really related to this story, but I was in the Gulf of Tonkin off the North VietNam coast during the mining of Haiphong Harbor in 1972. After the mining, we were tasked with alerting incoming merchant ships via signal flags of the danger in the harbor. We met up with a North Korean ship headed there and warned them. They didn't particularly like it, so they pointed their 3" gun directly at us. We, in turn, shifted our 5" 54 caliber gun, our 50mm machine guns and a couple of missile systems towards them. They high-tailed it to within the 12 mile territorial waters of Communist China. We couldn't pursue them, so we went hunting elsewhere.

In response to Biden signing the OmniBUST Bill, which includes a whopping $10 billion to Taiwan (over a 5-year period), the Chicoms got their feathers rustled and sent 7 ships and 71 warplanes toward Taiwan, with 47 of the planes crossing into Taiwanese air space, albeit very briefly. Well, this threat by the Chicoms just shows how dangerous matters are for Taiwan, therefore, the US and our allies need to step up our support for the island nation.
Meanwhile, that same "BUST" bill will send $50 billion to Ukraine this year! Xi got his panties in a wad over $2 billion this year, imagine the meltdown he'd have if Taiwan got what Ukraine will get.
Another "meanwhile" the China Virus is running wild there, with 50% of the nation said to be infected with most dealing with tough symptoms. It's so bad the country's crematoriums have a one-week backlog, even with them operating 24/7. Saw a post where a "joke" was made stating the Chicom army will be called out with flamethrowers to burn the bodies of those deceased from the virus. Someone else posted, don't laugh, a battalion stationed near Beijing, armed with flamethrowers, has been put on alert.
Of course, we are to believe COVID-19 did not start in Wuhan, China...because Fauci and Goosey told us so...yet, the rest of the world has mostly moved on, but the Chicoms are still struggling with it. Also, another one of those WARNINGS has gone out from the "scientific world" to get ready for more mutated versions of COVID-19 to manifest in China, and then spread across the world.

The USS Chung-Hoon, a Burke-class Aegis destroyer, sailed through the Strait of Taiwan against the protests of the Chicoms. "This is a warning to turn around," the Chicoms radioed. "No, we really mean it, do not enter these waters." The captain of the Chung-Hoon replied, "And y'all have a nice day too." Then proceeded to sail through the straight peacefully.
The only real danger is bumping into other navy ships, from various countries, who also ignore the Chicoms' warnings.
