No respect, but not unexpected. QB play will define ONCE AGAIN the outcome.

You're right. The ranking is directly correlated to how they assess J'Mar. Hopefully, Holtz AND Smith recognize the slight. The consensus is that J'Mar simply isn't reliable enough to win a championship.
    Have you considered those Dogs?

    And neither is Holtz.

Fixed it for you. They have seen him, we have seen him, and no one wants to see it anymore except Holtz.

Against LSU he dealt with drops. He was on fire. What if that J’Mar played all year next year? Why does he seem to step up against big competition?

That falls on coaching, IMO. He played a natural game. When it breaks down and he’s actually J’Mar, he becomes an athlete with a cannon. Have the coaches tried to make him something he’s not?

It seems like a fair guess. That's more or less what I would have predicted for both divisions (which of course means it won't work out that way - there will always be surprises, good and bad). I think Tech has a real shot to compete for the division (and if you just get to the championship game, there is always a chance to win the overall title). I think it's interesting how unbalanced several CUSA teams are in terms of team strengths (or predicted team strengths based on last season). UNT has a great offense, but not a great D. Marshall and USM have really good defenses, but can they score? FAU probably going to be notable better on O than D. Tech and FIU both have the potential to be good on both sides, but just need to put it all together for a whole season - depth may be a factor there.

You never know, but Rice and UTEP look to have a long ways to go. UTSA still struggling to meet expectations from a few years ago. UAB lost a ton, but might get by, I think they have a decent cross-divisional draw.

Our cross-divisional draws this season look pretty tough on paper. That could hurt us in the overall standings.

I'll say this much for North Texas, they sure know how to squeeze a lot of respect out of a very mediocre 2018 performance. UNT only had 2 quality wins in 2018; a 44-17 win over Arkansas' worst team in 50 years, and a 30-7 home win over USM, a conference foe that LA Tech can never beat. Of course, LA Tech beat UNT in Denton.

And then the "Mean Green" were blown out 52-13 in their bowl game against Utah St.

Maybe LA Tech should hire UNT's PR team?

Seeing that they are getting the media love voted as the best team of the conference, they got a big ass target on their backs.

    Well, it's all relative, right?

I think you could make an argument for Tech to win the division. Or USM. Or maybe UAB. But I don't think any of those teams have such a slam dunk case to make that you could really fault UNT as the overall media choice.

Who do you think will win the West?

You must not have watched the first half of the lsu game.

Our QB throws grounders and takes sacks when the game is on the line. He sucks.

He has depth perception issues. It might be different in practice but in games he over/under throws his passes.
