revf, that is spot on! unfortunately.....
I could see this game being competitive in the first quarter. After that, probably not. But then again I thought LSU would destroy us last year, and we gave them all they wanted.
It seems like Coach Holtz likes to play just good enough to get attention and lose just enough to play in the worst bowls to get a win and pad his resume. Don't be surprised if he gets a win.
FWIW, I will be attending the La Tech vs UT game. My brother is a BIG Texas fan, graduate, and season ticket holder, so I will be there. I’m Native Texan and proud of it. But, other than my brother, I detest UT fans(and graduates). And my brother is intolerable at times when it comes to anything UT.
So make CUSA proud and do your thing. La Tech has been known to upset big programs in the past. Like you did in Denton last year. Had to get that in! LOL. Seriously, I’ll be pulling for you.
We have only lost one football game in the state of Texas since 2014, I’d like us to keep it that way. I’ll hope for the best, we may be able to pull a surprise or two early on. I’d rather play them at the beginning than near the end.
Grew up in Austin. Attended LH games for many years as a kid. Marched on the field as a HS band member at band day. Ended up a Bulldog. I'll be at the game in Austin to walk into the stadium I haven't been in since the early '70's. I have lots of memories of the Darrell Royal years...Hook 'em Dogs!!
Hook down Horns!
