They wouldn’t be attacking if we were there. This is not hypothetical...it’s happening.

You’re too smart for these tropes.

We moved 100 troops that Turkey said they were about to kill.

Are you saying we should have moved more troops in with the 100 so, that more than 100 would have died? That battle was lost when Turkey announced. Trumps advisors made the recommendation.

We still have other troops in place with the Kurds. We also have 60,000 troops in the region.

This whole deal is about much more than the Kurds getting pounded. Now that the Democrats have gone on record as supporting our Allies and those we've actually signed agreements with, they'll be hard pressed to back down.

That’s BS. Even if Turkey said it, they NEVER would’ve attacked US Troops. You know this.

You’re twisting yourself into a pretzel trying to defend this obviously stupid move.

Didn’t watch the presser, but that’s not what the President said. You just accept their damage control explanations that easily?

    Good grief.

And, I don’t care if that IS what Turkey said, they would NEVER act on it and you know it.

And 1000 more troops to Saudi Arabia. That’s how we end endless war? Enable Turkey and send MORE TROOPS overseas?

    BRILLIANT!

    No it does not.

    - We STILL have troops positioned with the Kurds.

    - We moved 100. Since you are now a part time military expert, how many would we have had to move in to cut our losses?

    - We have troops in the region concerned with much bigger problem(s) than the Kurds getting run over.

    - Will you be in favor of our troops moving in harms way to fight for those problems if they involve Israel?

Re: Trouble in Syria and Iraq

BTW, this is part of what Mattis said regarding withdrawal in his resignation letter. Apparently Mattis is also a fan boi troop member?

"Under some circumstances, it may be, and Syria as well. I think it's appropriate. I don't join those who say, 'Oh, it's crazy to be pulling our troops out of Syria,' or pulling half our troops out of Afghanistan. I think we need a thoughtful examination of that. But again, the essence is, what is the strategic objective? What do we want to accomplish? What do we think we can accomplish by this? Not just the same old, 'Well just hang in there, let's just hang in there,' and we go through another 10 years or 18 years or whatever it is, for what?"
