8--4 should be expected this year with the cupcake schedule we have.
I am expecting a disappointing 7-5 though.

Anything above 8-4 and I will feel like it was a good year.

That's more or less what I'm thinking. I'm prepared for a severe step backwards on the defensive side of the ball...just too much change. I think the O will be better, but we still don't have a feature back and the QB has yet to be consistent. I have little hope that Skip will finally adjust the game plan to his personnel, but here's hoping I'm wrong.

Why on earth would Skip resign?

He's got everyone who signs his check by the balls.

He's got 0 pressure to win or put butts in the bleachers.

He can play golf at one of the top courses in the world.

Most of us thought our leadership would be able to grow our program with the kind of winning we've experienced over the past 5 years.

USM actually grew while Bower was being mediocre and taking them to bowls all those years...

This has been the "argument" the past several years. Some fans ask, "Is there nothing more?" Yeah, winning seasons, winning bowls is great, but what about a conference championship and an occasional finish in the Top 25? Other fans, like Dogfansince65, point to the very lean years, 3-9 ughs!, and say just be thankful we're not experiencing seasons like that.

I was in the "is there nothing more" camp for awhile, but now, I am in the "I really don't care anymore" camp. I always hope Tech does well, and the football team is certainly no different. I just won't lose sleep over it...

That’s my problem also.

With the exception of last years bowl game, the product Holtz and Rockstar put on the field isn’t worth me driving to Ruston to watch. Sad.
