I am not looking at conference championship games in an attendance light at all. You win conference titles, unless they have changed the rule, you get the belle of the ball in CUSA bowl games. We only have 1-2 two that have a decent opponent each year. We need to grab that game and beat that AAC or higher opponent. That then improves the top 25 chances and the chance that you could start the next year in the preseason top 25 or close so its easier to get back in the next year. Start too far out and you cant get in or have to run the table just to get to 25.

It also helps attract better players, the extras that attract the players are nice, but we aren't going to see the budget jump that much anytime soon. One of the ways you can snag a little higher quality player is being considered a consistent winner and champ. Right now the only championship available to use year in and year out is our conference and it should be the goal.

The attendance comes up when you have accomplished this somewhat consistently. I am not saying every year, but 1 or 2 conf. championships in each 4 year cycle, should mean a couple more wins in those seasons, a slightly better bowl opponent etc... all pushes you towards that top 25 spot(s).

Our attendance isn't going to grow just because significantly because of one season, everybody has seen before that we shot our selves in the foot usually. It definitely isn't going to grow because of marketing.
