Our OLine has played fine. It's the play calling that causes the stops behind the line, not the OLine.
So are you saying now that whoever is coaching Smith has found what makes him "tick"? Hopefully they will find a way to make him get rid of the ball rather than taking so many sacks. He's been doing this since before Tim was coaching him and is still doing it.
In my opinion, Smith will NEVER be drafted into the NFL!!!

I would respectfully argue that almost every time that Rattay would be huddling up with his QB on the sidelines last year, Skip had to come over and interupt and basically overrule whatever Tim was saying. Tim accomplished MUCH MORE @ QB than Skip ever did/ever will.
I see micro managing as a problem in all aspects of the offense.
We’ve been told over and over that he’s no good, so that can’t be true. I KNOW....maybe after he graduates from y’all, we can have him back for a year?
And to the point of the thread, I hope Smith wins it and throws for 3500 yards and 30 TD’s. And I’d love to see him win out the rest of his games in blowout fashion.
J'Mar is hard to protect, because he holds the ball waaaay too long, and he doesn't like to run. That combination puts a lot of pressure on our OL. Yeah, I know J'Mar CAN be successful running, and I'd like to see him do it more often. But that's the point: He doesn't like to run and he seldom does.
Frankly, I think our OL has done a great job of protecting J'Mar in 2019.
I didn't need the USM fan's admission to prove I'm right. Anyone not wearing red & blue blinders can see that I'm right about Abraham. With some playing time, he's turning out to be a fine young QB. And he can actually SCORE!!!
Not sure if that is an opinion, that my friend, I think is a fact.
