Due to HIPPA, I can say much but I visit him today and he is doing ok with a long way to go. This young man played basketball for me and HE IS AN OUTSTANDING PERSON. Without saying much, his knee is his least worries. Please keep him in your prayers, he is going to need them.

Thank you for your update. It was not pretty to watch and all the best in his recovery.

Definitely will be praying for him. As much as we all love football, it is a game and some of the kids have monumental injuries due to its play.

Just saw the video of his injury, every bit as bad as Theismann's or A. Smith's. I hope blood flow or lack of blood flow isn't an issue. Will definitely be praying for this young man and asking my Christian brothers and sisters to remember him as well.

Zach Miller of the Bears suffered the same injury and had to undergo the same procedure to save his leg after an injury against the Saints in 2017. Teddy Bridgewater's injury was also similar. As Coach Fobbs said in Cory's story, he has a long recovery in front of him but he should be fine.

Here's the story on Zach Miller from 2017.

It looked horrible. I suppose it's good news the trainers were able to pop it back in while still on the field. I guess the concern would be soft tissue damage, similar to a dislocated shoulder. Anyway, prayers for a speedy recovery for the young man.

I had two shoulder surgeries back in the 1990's following a snow skiing accident. The 2 surgeries left my shoulder susceptible to dislocation on occasion. It's happened to me about 4 or 5 times over the past 23 years. Trust me when I say, there is nothing more painful in the world than a major shoulder dislocation, and I'm sure it felt the same for this young man's knee. But I can tell you this: when the caretakers (or he) popped it back in place out there on the field, his pain level dropped significantly. He probably felt 60% to 70% better immediately. But even with that said, he's still experiencing significant pain, and he'll have a long road of rehab ahead of him. His football playing days are over.

It was more serious than soft tissue damage according to a family member on social media.

#7 is getting to go home today. He has a LONG LONG LONG LONG ways to go before we see him back on the field but if anyone is going to get here, HE WILL! Thanks for all the kind words and prayers.
