Texas gave LSU a good game. They almost scored as many on LSU as they did on Tech. Meanwhile Tech was lucky with a few fortunate breaks and Grambling was unlucky about their time running out. What to take from all of this, Tech sometimes plays up to good competition but in recent years always comes up short and when playing lesser competition, Tech plays down to them. Bottom line, this is lose, lose trending.
Turns out there was no AC in the visitors locker room for the Tech's game in Austin and also LSU. LSU had confirmed this with Tech and brought portable AC/blowers to try and mitigate the heat. No class on Longhorns. https://wwl.radio.com/blogs/amos-mor...ac-locker-room
Holy crap
If It is true I will have my new favorite team to hate.
I hope Texas did not do this to us or LSU - poor sportsmanship.

Social media sites were filled with rumors that the LSU locker room at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium didn’t have A/C.
These posts had all the makings of a solid conspiracy theory but Tigers head coach Ed Orgeron confirmed in his Monday morning press conference that the rumor was true. However, Orgeron said that LSU was prepared for it.
“I called Louisiana Tech, and they told us about it,” Orgeron said. “So we did some things in the dressing room that were better. It wasn't great, but it was better. At least we had air in there. They didn't have air. We had some blowers in there.”
Orgeron added that he didn’t think the hot locker room had as much of an effect on LSU’s players cramping issues in the second half of the 45-38 win against the Longhorns as much as “having to play 93 plays on defense” did.
Several LSU defensive players left for portions of the second half as a result of cramps.
“I think that had a lot to do with it,” he said. “Although it was hot, I thought -- I think the humidity was like 23 percent. It wasn't like Louisiana. But our guys did cramp up in the second half. We talked about it as a staff that we need to get some IVs, more IVs at halftime. Didn't seem like nobody needed one at that time, but to prevent that, I think that more guys will get IVs at halftime, obviously with the doctor's approval.”
A few players left the game with more than just cramps and Oregon gave an update on the status of those players.
“You're not going to see Glen Logan or Rashard Lawrence (at practice),” he said. “I don't know if any of them are going to be ready for the game.
“K’Lavon (Chaisson) is questionable. He'll be in a boot. You'll see him in a boot today. But he could be available for the game. I need to find that out. But the rest of the guys are going to be okay, I think.”
Orgeron said the coaching staff was confident in the players available to fill in for those Tigers.
“Neil Farrell has been playing very well. He's been playing very well,” he said. “Breiden (Fehoko) will get more snaps at defensive end. Hopefully, Apu (Ika) can get more snaps at nose tackle. Jarell Cherry will be behind Glen Logan, and then Nelson Jenkins can get some snaps. Those guys will have to be our defensive line this week the way it looks.”
The Tigers return to Baton Rouge this weekend to host Northwestern State Saturday at 6:30 p.m. in Tiger Stadium.
UT AD is now denying there was any A/C issue... someone needs to get Skip on the record about this.
Some of you have forgotten or never heard the stories of how badly we've been treated over the years at P5 venues. Some of our WAC "brothers" were even worse when we went there.
Skip said on Fletch this morning that he didn't notice that the AC was out.
