Western Kentucky lost to Central Arkansas.

FIU got routed by Tulane.

UAB almost lost to Alabama State.

On the bright side, FAU is playing Ohio State.

I watched the replay of the WKU-UCA game. WKU had a 14-point lead going into the 4th quarter. And I know this will surprise some of you, but the game turned on a blown call by a CUSA official.

Up 28-21 with 11 minutes to play WKU had the ball in the UCA redzone and had a touchdown called back on a holding penalty. It was the type of penalty an official should never call, away from the play. And replay showed it wasn't really holding. Blown for multiple reasons.

WKU's freshman kicker then missed the 32-yard field goal attempt on the next play. UCA took over, and on their first play they ran a halfback pass. The DB bit on the fake, leaving the receiver wide open. He walked into the endzone. It was all UCA from there.

According to WKU's color analyst, the Hilltoppers "had defenders out of place all night and have issues at the QB spot."

UAB is done with their "Grace Period" of having unrestricted transfers and such after not having a program. They're gonna suck from here on out until they shutter the program again. Central Arkansas can ball...regardless of conference. I didn't see that FIU thing coming but; then again, hadn't paid much attention to Tulane preseason.

Truth be told...with our current state of athletics...we're a much better fit for the Sunbelt than CUSA. We'd have instant rivalry games with in-state and very close to state rivals. Hurts me to say that but we are going nowhere and backwards real fast in CUSA as far as I can tell...I bet our attendance this year in both FB an MBB indicates the same.

UNT - I like that series, but they have no baseball and that was supposed to be part of them getting in C-USA.

UTEP - Will always suck. No baseball.

Rice - Will always suck in everything other than baseball.

USM - They are our daddy.

UAB - They are our step daddy.

All the rest of them are just Sunbelt teams.

rice looked pretty stout on defense. against the option, anyway. not sure if we should expect them to be a little better this year.

At the end of the day ULALA is 0-45 vs. SEC all-time and 0-1 this season.

No way can/will Ga State beat Tennessee. Have you seen the difference in their budgets!? That's what we hear here, Tech can't beat the big guys with our small budget.
