I am leaning toward Acadiana is THAT good. Good and getting better each week. Carencro, Ruston, Lafayette Christian, Sam Houston, and Barbe are quality wins. Arguably the Comeaux win is as well. Offense has been rolling since the later part of September. Finally climbed into the #1 spot in the 5A rankings. Looking forward to a lengthy playoff run and a possible chance to catch one of their games around the Thanksgiving holiday.

No clue. Not sure the visitor scoreboard has ever gone that high.

Leaving the starters in on defense is worse than running up the score IMO.

The matchup between Curtis' Oline and Rummel's Dline was the game within the game. Curtis' entire Oline was big but very athletic. They all looked like they could play at the FBS level right now. On the other side of the ball Rummel's two D ends were 6-4, 240 and 6-5, 235. And both looked the part. Those guys battled every play, all night.

Calvary came in with blood in their eyes due to the fact everyone knew why they chose District 1-1A to "drop down to" since they can't compete in all sports like Evangel does at an upper level - and our head coaches in all sports were pretty outspoken about it

It was 63-0 at half and Haynesville had already turned the ball over 9 times - and my son a soph was playing qb

Haynesville fields a roster of 31 kids (our avg team roster #'s the past 5 years has been 47) - mostly soph & frosh - it's a crazy two classes biologically at the school - after losing classes of 15 & 17 seniors, this senior class has 5 seniors and next year's has 6 seniors - class sizes are the same, they are just all girls...

Not making excuses - they were better at every single position on the field

I have witnessed ALOT of Tor beat downs on other teams, where the jv's were subbed in after the first series of the game and then the frosh were literally played the entire remainder of the ballgame to try to keep respectable and not physically hurt the other team - that was not the case Friday night by the team on the other side line...

Or running them back out on the field because the jv team was fixing to score....

This is only the 7th 10-0 regular season in Rummel history, and that's 58 years of history. Not easy running the table in the Catholic League, made even harder when you play a tough non-district slate as well. The Division I playoffs will be super tough. Whoever wins it all will have earned it.

Am I to understand the so-called "select" divisions will not play their championship games in the Dome?

Correct. They're leaving the Dome for sites like Tulane and ULL. Dome rental for 9 games had reached $500,000. Non-rental expenses were more than $200,000. A total cost of more than $700,000.

In July the select schools formed the LSA - The Louisiana Select Association. In future years they will sell their own sponsorships. I think it's pretty clear that they will eventually control enough of the pie to where the non-select schools will have to leave the Dome, as well. It just won't be affordable.
