Not sure about Tech, but city of Ruston had their first petition for FEMA relief denied. Not sure how it all works, but I know that crews are still clearing trees and house debris for people who are trying to get back In Their homes. Our facilities can wait if that is where the resources are currently in use.
So insurance doesn't cover cleanup?
Gladzilla, word is that FEMA won't allow anybody to touch anything outside of heath hazards until they have completed their assessment and decided what damages they will pay. Our insurance payment (state program) is a totally different payment. FEMA overrides everything.
FWIW, when I drove through campus a few weeks ago and saw what you describe, I anticipated some of our fans questioning the delay. It would have been great had our President made a statement explaining why...
I would never expect our arrogant AD to shiv a git about what any of our people think about the way things look on our campus.
