Tech may have won the game, but they weren’t the winningest team in the game today. Tech is only barely the best team in Lincoln parish, but they aren’t the best team in North Louisiana. Holtz is very fortunate not to be measured against his peers.
I know Florida State isn’t what they used to be, but ULM is hanging with them.

Give them credit. They have no support, no budget, but a coach who WANTS to win. As the old saying goes, “Attitude reflects leadership.”

ULM would donkey stomp Holtz's puppies... I would say, be glad we don't play them, but we might, in a bowl, and then...oh wait! it'll be a bowl. Holtz would beat 'em.

No matter the threat of breaking through and becoming somewhat a little bit relevant neither Tech nor ULM can get there. Underachievers do what they do no matter what their opportunities (Arkansas, South Carolina etc, etc).
