I think Diaz was the exception to #5 and will likely be the only one until skip is desperate. I don’t think skip will ever feel desperate because of #7. Which means we will be stuck in a loop and “skip out of luck” until the end of football time.

I would like to think Diaco won’t fall under #5 but we will have to wait and see a bit.

I love a coach that says-

It’s the other teams job to try to keep us out of the end zone. It’s a game. Running up the score is not unsportsmanlike if you don’t taunt the opponent.

#5 Diaz was the exception. Thatís why heís long gone. He had ambition that far exceeded Holtzís.

Our team and staff knows we're going to play it safe, and our opponents know we're going to play it safe. In those games both sides have acted accordingly. You can go back and watch the 4th quarter of each of those games. Look at the body language of the players. It's stunning.
And don't forget about Skip Holtz blowing double digit leads against Northwestern State (2014, Tech led 13-3), ODU (2014, Tech led 21-7), Marshall (2014, Tech led 10-0 & 17-7), Miss St (2015, Tech led by 14-pts in the 1st qtr), Middle Tennessee (2016, Tech led 27-7 in the 3rd qtr), Southern Miss (2017, Tech blew a 27-16 lead with only 1:25 left in the game) and Southern Miss again (2018, although not double digits, Tech led by 6 pts before giving up a late TD with 6 min left, and losing 21-20).

Add those 7 late game losses to the 3 you called out, and I've had my fill of Skip Holtz.

Excellent points! If itís been said once itís been said a gazillion times, Holtz is essentially a daisy when it comes to going out and attempting to ĎBEATí an opponent.

Also, I thought the 2 fourth down plays were called incorrectly. We should have taken the points on the 1st drive of 2nd half and been up 23-0 (virtually 4 scores). In the 4th quarter, when we tried to draw them offsides, we should have actually gone for it.
    Exactly!!!

I'm sure lspoo loves Tech, finally after all these years, playing a more boring style offense as compared to theirs. Our offense, QB play and WR's were getting way to much press and highlight video in years past vs. their terrible offenses and QB's.
