    I
had heard that there is a 70 team softball tourney scheduled for the complex early 2020. I would bet there wouldn't be a whole lot of weekends in the spring and summer that there wouldn't be something going on at the complex.
We (Cedar Creek) will be using the baseball facilities for elementary league this spring.

So, 13,000 spectators x 10.00 / person = 130,000. Is my math correct? So, what is the percentage of the sales tax revenue of restaurant and hotels going towards the complex?

But there shouldn't be any illusions bc the C/B analysis on which the project was based is available for the public to review, right?

I could be wrong, but we need the facility itself to generate those numbers. Not hotels, restaurants, shops, and gas stations.

We don’t want to file bankruptcy like Sterlington.

There is a 1.75% tax on hotels and restaurants to help pay for it, I thought I read somewhere.

    Re: Ruston's sports complex

Ruston-Sterlington comparison does not make for a good argument against the Ruston complex.

More public housing or a sports complex? We see what happens when public housing is the choice of the voters.
