Another dreg opponent... thank Gawd! We suck but the opposition, for the 3rd straight week, is worse than us.
Not according to the king of coach speak...
"When you look at FIU, I think Butch Davis has done a great job as a head coach there. When you look at the things he's done along with his pedigree and his experience, it's impressive. He's very knowledgeable, he knows how to coach, and his team reflects that. They're playing really well right now.
This is Dabo Sweeney talking about Charlotte.
“This is the best rushing team we’ve seen in three games. Their ability to run the ball and how they’re coordinated to run the ball. Their running back is a tough, thick, physical runner,” Swinney said. “This is a team that could embarrass us if we don’t have a great week of preparation, because they’re a different type of challenge than we’ve seen.”

Coach speak is the last thing you should complain about.
Embarrassing? Come on. What do you expect him to say? "They suck and if we don't beat them by 21, I should be fired."
Did you prefer Dykes who constantly threw players under the bus? How about Dooley who talked tough but had not much of a clue what he was doing? JBIII always seemed a little bewildered.

I don't mind coach speak before the game, it's in the post-game where he should be more honest.
"We have a lot of work to do because our slow-down offense is obviously hurting us so I'll probably only stick with it for 5 or 6 more years until I retire."
I don't care if a coach chews a player out up one side and down the other in the locker room, or otherwise in private. Even on the sidelines when it's a stupid personal foul. I have much frustration with Holtz, but his not calling out or even hinting of blaming a player speaks of respect and class. Zero respect for coaches that throw players under the bus publicly.
Just watching the PC now. Really impressed with Graham and Amik. They seem like real quality guys.
