They are saying that Tech Academia (The Athletic Council) picked on Smith. NOT all four guys, but just Smith. That's an idiotic theory. I only pointed that out after one of our posters who is normally our AD's biggest ally ranked our AD among the idiots. It's crazy talk. The most believable version is consistent and does not subject Tech to NCAA sanctions. The idiotic theory has our Athletic Council, our AD, and our President covering up a scandal in order to "get J'Mar Smith".

I don't know how it works. But from what I've read it seems like certain players were targeted for a follow up test because they failed one previously. Like they were told they would be tested again. Of course, that's not a "random" test. Is that sort of thing normal for universities to do? I'm merely trying to figure out if certain players were told they would be tested.

That's what I'm asking too. Seems to me that most universities don't purposefully select players for a drug test because they believe they might fail. Otherwise, there would be rampant suspensions throughout the country. I'm not remembering previous instances of players failing a test and being selected, outside of NCAA mandates, to take a follow up test. I'm not going out on a limb to say we've had players fail a drug in the past. I don't remember other suspensions.

That was a fast fall from grace. Fresno St went from a 12-2 record, a Mountain West title and a #18 national ranking in 2018, to a 4-8 finish this season. Wow! You don't see that too often.
