From watching the highlights it looked like UMass was trying to give them the short stuff and FIU still went over the top. I'm coming to the game, but I am probably leaving after the first quarter. Hopefully we can have a nice lead by then.

UMASS is not the worst team in FBS...Akron is. But, UMASS sucks big time and SHOULD NOT be able to stay on the field with us. And by the final whistle I think we'll have a comfortable enough margin not to have to sweat the 4th qtr, like Gramblng and Rice. It won't be pretty, but I THINK we'll win by 20.

But! this is Holtz we are talking about and that means UMASS is licking its chops. Give them any hope, and I mean any, and they'll milk that underdog role and hang around. I think the coaches, and thus the players, are looking past UMASS to USM. Holtz is saying he wants to use this game to build depth. That means lots of 2s and 3s seeing the field and also sends a message to the team "no worries, we got this." Very dangerous for anyone, but especially for a sputtering team (especially the O) like ours.

All that said I am banking on UMASS being far worst than even Skippy can screw it up...

Ill take that bet..... so lets trade Skip to UMASS for a new washing machine and someone who truly understands how to run a jumbo tron and sound system. Not only do I think Skip could screw them up I believe he would elevate them all the way to the worst team in FBS
