We got 1 in the AP and 6 in the Coaches', ahead of UCF, Pitt and South Carolina. (God help us if we had to play them.)
I've read a lot of complaints about our team, and they're hard to disagree with when we have to go to overtime to beat Rice, etc. BUT the truth is this might be Tech's best season (though not best team) since going I-A. The fact is we're in a great position to go 11-1. (It helps having a very weak schedule.) Of our hardest conference games, only Marshall and UAB are on the road, and they're not looking as good as last year. Really the USM game will tell the tale for the season.
And, hey, yeah our conference sucks, but yesterday WKU handled Army better than Michigan did.
