Holtz 10 - UTEP 0
In Skip's career he remains undefeated against the Miners.
I thought both Tucker and Marcus look good in their limited action tonight.
When was the last game we didn't play for or attempt a field goal?
Also, this game was won because we capitalized on turnovers.
JMar is playing great! Period!
It is hard to complain when we played up to the opponent standard and still scored 42pts to win the game comfortably.
Great butt kicking on the road for a conference win. Love it!
My wife and I noticed this too. Almost at the same time, we both said "why is it so dark?". Methinks the sun bowl is just old and needs updating.
Aside from that, we could have easily beaten this team 59-7 with a little extra effort all the way around. That said, we're 7-1, so I'm not complaining. Big games still ahead though. Looking at you, UAB.
I was out of town and out of commission today, so I didn't get to watch or follow the game. It's funny to read through this thread with the benefit of hindsight. We won by three TDs, covered and our QB completed 83% of his passes for 338 yards with 3 TDs, 0 INTs and a 91.5 QBR (the best game of his career). He's had his three best QBR games the last three weeks after the bye. And yet about 80-85% of this thread was negative. We might have a problem.
the bold, the beautiful, theprofessor
Offense did great. Defense needs to get their sh*t together. This was a bad offensive team that they faced. We can't play like that against UNT, Marshall, UAB.
That sums it up for me, as well. Our defense was flat last night and we KNOW they are much better than that performance. Offense was good! J'Mar was just about perfect last night and I never say that.
On the play calling, I would love to see how many times (outside of bowl games) that Skip has gone for it on 4th. He has done it several times this year and I don't remember him doing it much at all in years past.
