Our football schedules were MUCH tougher back then. LA Tech wasn't in a conference in the 1990's, and most of our games weren't strategically planned for success.

Right. Or like in the Nebraska game we were over-manned to the point that we couldn't stop them, and couldn't run on them but had the talent and the scheme to pass for a lot of yards.

Or against UCF in the late 90s who could match us on passing O.

    The Rattay-Culpepper shootout was wild.

You have a different memory of that blowout loss than I do. They hammered us 64-30. Rattay and Edwards hooked up on a couple of long TDs, but it mostly ALL UCF that night.

Then later the Rattay-King shootout in the Dome ended the same way, 63-30, ALL Tulane that night.

Ratty was a horrible QB coach too.

Yes, I remember us getting whooped. I also seem to remember it being unseasonably cool with a light drizzle.

But it was the bombs being tossed back and forth that stand out to me.

All you need is two words to sum up that night: Duante Culpepper.

I remember it being so rainy, then foggy that you couldn't see the screen.
