Skip to Arkansas?

Heard a rumor that Arkansas may be interested in hiring Skip given the amount of money they owe Beilema and now Morris on remaining contracts? could be close to $30 million between both guys on buyouts. Skip would be a cheap option and bring a resume that may sooth the aching razorback fans especially if he wins the conference championship. Anybody heard anything?

I got a call yesterday from a Pig Fan saying Skip was on their short list. No real inside information on this one, just think people are speculating and Skip seems logical (especially since his Dad coached there)

Skip is probably on the list and will probably be on a lot of lists for at least consideration. I doubt he is high on the list. At his age, his resume isn't flashy enough for most major programs. I think it would take a Tennessee- Dooley situation for Skip to wind up being the top choice.

Norvell is the obvious choice. But, I can see Skip fitting in well there.

I would imagine that Arkansas would hire a consultant firm to do the search. They hired DHR International last time.

I believe Arkansas just hired Memphis Head Coach Mike Norvell. He's 38 yrs old and a former head coach at UCA. When you search his name in Wikapedia, they identify him as the head coach at Arkansas.

That's just people messing with Wikipedia. They wouldn't announce it until after the season if it were to happen. It would make a lot of sense though.

So, Holtz will get caught up in all the hype/excitement about getting hired away by some P5 and fail to finish this season and we'll end up missing out on an Orange Bowl bid by losing to Utah State and San Jose State...
