They owe him a buyout. BB was trying to game the system with is "job" at New England. Arkansas will eventually have to pay it, maybe not all of it, but most.

RFLMAO at this thread.
Folks, Arkansas is not really interested in Skip Holtz.
I cannot see Holtz being very interested into stepping into the P5 realm. Sure, it would be a lot of money and a chance to make it at the highest CFB level. But it also means a LOT more pressure to be successful. Then there's all the headaches dealing with way more overzealous fans and spoiled 18-23 yr olds who believe they're NFL HoF material. Skip has a nice situation here at Tech. He has built a pretty good program so why join P5 SEC circus at this point in life?
Skip would be an improvement over Morris. He could AT LEAST beat CUSA teams with SEC talent.
Skip isn’t going to Arkansas unless he’s ready to retire. That’s a graveyard.
On the Teddy radio show last night, someone asked this question. Skip said he has not been contacted, and had not reached out to them. He basically said he likes Ruston, likes what they are building here, and did not seem to be interested. It IS nice to have a coach who does not view Tech as a stepping stone.
Skip HAS has added stability to our program, we have more 3 stars than ever before, and we really spread the ball around on offense. If he will PLEASE keep "going for it", keep playing more aggressively, I'm in.
He didn't say anything any other coach wouldn't say, but I don't think he is going anywhere unless things get crazy.
Everybody loves Ruston (even if they don't). Everybody who wins is happy with what they built. All that goes out the window when someone throws 5x your annual salary at you and your whole crew. I think we are in a good spot with Skip.
