What's the building next to the softball field going to be?
Turf is going on the softball field today.
I have to admit — the “presence” of the baseball stadium as you arrive at the Tech Drive/Alabama intersection is impressive. The structure is massive and is going to look great!
Will soccer play on a natural grass or field turf surface?
I think they will be on natural. The article release I've read regarding our FieldTurf installation are for baseball and softball. No mention of soccer.

Tons happening today! Soil cement is being dropped at the baseball field today. Based on what happened at the softball field, we could see the FieldTurf going in around the end of the month or first part of January.
And they are starting on the small parking lot next to the softball grandstands.
Did we value engineer the roof awning? Going back to the rendering vs reality. Same goes to the softball field.
The concrete steps that lead up to the right field area have been made. I tool a picture this morning while passing by but photo it's real blurry. I'll have to try again later.
I don't think the awning is value engineered. Just the difference between the concept and final design & construction. But I guess it could be.
Several trucks are at the baseball field lined up to drop aggregate on the playing field.
One nice feature of the new stadium is you can walk from the berm seating to the restrooms and concession stands inside the stadium grounds. Surely it will be paid attendance now to sit out there to watch a game where before it was free. But the tickets wont cost much.
