Looks like the women's facility is coming along. I see the softball pressbox is getting built and the women's team facility is being worked on. For baseball, continued work on the coaches office/team facility and they are working on the foundation for the additional grandstand. The new parking is going to look nice. Lot's of parking option for baseball (new lot, mississippi ave lot, memorial gym, Ruston High)

Drove by there yesterday afternoon since I was in town -

Baseball is going to really be impressive -

I love everything about it except the blue seats

The women's office facility will probably have all the structural steel up today. Went by yesterday with just the first floor steel in place and it's impressive.

    GREEN = baseball.

I'm sure the facility is gonna be nice, and some will be drooling all over it (not literally, I hope!). But based on the design drawings I've seen, we missed an opportunity to build something special.

What would have made it special? Beyond more seating or more suites what isn't being built you would want to have?

A Beer Garden. Behind the center field fence. It's a must, and a potential revenue generator.

Nothing potential about how much revenue this would generate

Plus, we could partner with local breweries for Tech-themed beers. Wasn't Red River supposed to do a few? Flying Tiger really has us beat on this.

I like it. Good thinking, Blue Dawg. We might have to appoint you chairman of the Brewery committee. You can persuade one of the local breweries to label one of its' beers "Bulldog Brew", or something like that. It will be a huge hit. I guarantee you that place will get crowded. Imagine "Stows Bar" outdoors. LOL!

Plus the Beer Garden would be out behind center field where it wouldn't "bother" any of the more serious baseball fans throughout the rest of the stadium.

    I humbly accept.

This is really not that hard. There are at least 3 beers here I can think of off the top of my head in Fayetteville that are Hog-themed. This is very easy. Win-win-win.

    Seasonal Tech brews:
    Diamond Dawg Double (or Tripel)
    Gridiron Gose
    Dunkin' Dunkel

A beer garden would be nice. But, I was referring to the look of the stadium. With that material that looks like wood, but is a durable hard plastic, we could have built a brand new OLD TIMEY stadium! We have a cookie-cutter stadium...that I'm sure will be nice and will serve the purpose...but could have been a trend-setter by turning back the clock with the look of old baseball stadiums. Fenway Park is so cool!!! A new, state-of-the-art facility but one that looks like it is 100 years old! And GREEN!!! A green outfield wall where our super cool, red, white, and blue logo would really pop!

Good points I can agree with. If nothing else I hope we can have traditional baseball green seats.
