Every team competes. Teams win if they compete well enough, which has not been the case in the last two Tech games.

Holtz sidesteps his and his coaching staff’s poor performances by deflecting criticism when he praises his players’ efforts even when more times than not he exaggerates it.
Competing in a losing effort against a more or less equal opponent is not competing hard enough. Either that or our coaches didn’t coach well enough. Which was it? Which is it most often?

Coach, can you tell us about the health of Brady Hale? Sure seems like it would have been better to kick a 46 yd FG than going for it on 4th and 7 (which we through a 4 yard out pass, before getting bailed out by the penalty)
Coach, after the penalty to get us to 4th and 2, why not kick the 41 yard FG with our SENIOR FG kicker instead of running the ball up the middle against the "best" defense in the conference?
He needs a different job -- somewhere else.......................
