The bright spot of 2012 is that two of our Daddys will be coming to Ruston ( UAB and Marshall)

Any transferring QB had better be really good on his own because Tech can’t coach QBs.
Rattay could, but JMar & Holtz saw to it that he left which led to drug abuse and 2 back-up QBs who in 2 years didn’t get any quality practice time because Smith was too inept to share the reps.
Now we’re right where Holtz’s shortcomings as a forward thinking coach has put us.
2020
We will have lowest season ticket sales in the last 20 years.
We will have to replace at least 3 coaching vacancies on staff - we will lose 3 good position coaches before signing period is over.
TM will be under investigation tied to withholding suspension notices. Tech is about to be the NCAA scapegoat on gambling and injuries/suspensions - NCAA is going to crucify Tech and TM once the CFPs are finished.
We may win 3 to 4 games at most.
As a parting shot, TM will announce a 1-1 with ULM with first hole game in Monroe and no buyout. ULM does not return in 2021.
Won't matter how good the transfer QB is with Holtz meddling. Holtz has screwed the pooch with them all.
Who are three good position coaches? If they were good, they'd already be gone.
What NCAA rule did our people break by waiting until Thursday night to report? Is there a gambling cooperation rule out there?
I'm ready for the ULM and LaLaff home and home series. Those games seem to be the only games that will actually sell tickets in Ruston. Losing to ether one will excited the money peeps.

Spot on. That whole article by the gambling folks was just stupid. At Michigan, Harbaugh doesn't even give a depth chart for the most part, nor does he really ever talk about injuries other than in the vaguest of terms. But someone thinks we should have to make an announcement the moment a player is suspended? It's just nuts...and it is really just the gambling folks trying to save face for their insiders not getting the news first.
This stupidity is why I rarely visit this board anymore.
So, does Amik Robertson declare for the NFL draft after the bowl game or return for a chance to win a conference championship in 2020? I know I was surprised when Kenneth Dixon returned for his senior year.
I would think the smart money would be to stay. He is undersized for a NFL corner, so I think another solid year would help him move up the draft boards.
I try not to be shocked about anything anymore, but I was a bit surprised to see him being used as a punt returner against UTSA. If he wants to add "punt returner" to his list of assets, he certainly could use a lot more refinement and development in that area. Makes me wonder why he was back there. Maybe he asked Holtz to give him a shot at it. After all Trent Taylor talked Holtz into letting him kick an extra point one time. I sure hate injuries have kept Trent on the sidelines so much in the NFL.
I think Amik goes to the NFL after this years bowl game. I saw a 1st team "All-American" list yesterday, and Amik was on it. In fact, Amik was the only G5 player on the 1st team list. Combine this with the fact that he already has a nice "highlight reel", and I think he's ready.
After the player suspension theatrics of the last 3 weeks, Amik shouldn't bet his future on Holtz and company delivering a CUSA championship in 2020. For selfish reasons, I'd like to see him stay, but his agent should advise him to do otherwise.
