    Auburn used our trick

Auburn got their last first down the same way we did against Virginia under Dykes. We're in 4h down, come out in punt formation, call time out, defense sets up to return, we come out in regular offense, in their scramble to get the regular D in hit them with a substitution penalty. Anyone know in either case if that's designed? If not it should be.

Of course it is. It's up to the eyes in the sky and the HC to know the other teams players and to recognize the substitutions. It's up to the refs to give the defense time to reset after the offensive substitutions have been made. Bama didn't catch that the Auburn punter had moved to receiver (I think). Saban said he wasn't given enough time to make the substitutions, but that's not true. He (or his press box eyes) didn't see that.

Look for a rule change because Saban will say one is needed.
