The NFL is not looking for punt returners. They know Amik has a special gift. I'm anxious to see if we might be lucky enough to keep him for one more year.

Lots of undersized players find their way on to NFL rosters via special teams. No, they may not be looking for punt returners, but they are looking for someone that is explosive in multi facets of the game. He already has the safety position down pat, but he is undersized. That is why, I do believe, he wanted to add to his highlight reel by having a good showing returning punts.

Indeed. Amik is a GREAT tackler now. He's in the right place to teach a class on how to tackle. We've still got too many people on our defense who think it's easier to bring somebody down at the shoulders instead of the legs. I'll never understand it.

Haynesville's legendary coach Red Franklin used to say football is all about blocking and tackling. It's all that matters. He said the rest of it is easy.

I would love for him to stay but I don't think he will and I don't blame him for it. He's not going to get any taller after next season. He's a great player and I certainly wish him well.
