8of16 on free throws this game. 10of15 on FT in the first matchup. Missed FT’s were big part of our loss to SHSU. Not sure of the other losses. Gonna burn us against better CUSA competition if we don’t improve there. Frustrating that it is us beating ourselves and not our opponent beating us.

We have beaten ourselves with poor FT shooting since Mike White got here. I don’t specifically remember if the problem preceded him also. Could have. Every year we have been on the cusp, I feel like we win conference tournaments multiple times with about 3-5 more made FT’s per game.

Southern Miss was not a bad team from what I saw Saturday. But they do lack productive depth. And while our free throw percentage was bad, I liked the way we kept pressure on them the whole game. Konkol substituted freely with no let down in effort. To me it really showed up in the second period.

Strongly urge everyone to show up to see them play Rice at the next home game. We're playing good basketball and they deserve the support.
