The seating that is selling out (if there is any) can be left alone, That is working as it should, the seating that does not should be priced accordingly. We need to charge something for these seats just so that they have some kind of value, even though that value is very low for some of them. There is a price for tickets at some point that still attracts fans yet holds some value for TECH and generates funds for the program, or at least helps pay for the game day experience.

I don't have the time or the background to measure the benefits of a stadium full of $5 tickets versus a stadium half full of $24 tickets, there are other values of that actual "butt in the seat". The values of 28,000 fans in town versus 14,000 fans in town holds other value than just that cost of ticket revenue that is gained. The simple purchase of a seat and "announced attendance" does not help attendance nor the bottom line like our AD seems to think it does.

The Lincoln/Ruston CVB or Chamber of Commerce can tell you though I bet. TMac and LG need to realize there is more outside the LA TECH bubble, it appears that Ruston has made efforts to support TECH, what has TECH Athletics done for Ruston?

There are entirely too many people involved in this equation that are happy with mediocrity.

This is not just blind griping by some loony internet fans, most everyone here has a good idea of what the solutions are, just no way to get them instituted.
I suspect there are some games that we couldn’t fill the stadium with $1.00 admission. Other games we might could sell out with the proper ticket prices. What is the right formula/decision? We have struggled with attendance for years, it is not a new problem.

It's not about filling the stadium. It's about getting potential fans in the seats. In our overall demographic a family of four can't/won't drive from Oak Grove or Minden paying $200 to see a football game and purchase concessions. We've lost many of this demographic already due to cost of tickets and the HORRIBLE game day experience since our current AD has been in place.

Not even in the latter days of Peace or Bicknell was our attendance as bad as it is now. That's a 180 from what it should be. You are right though. The problem is not new, it is going on eight years now. Many of us called it when our AD began changing things that had been working well for many years.

I thought it would be awesome for a family to be able to purchase 4 seats on game day that includes 1 drink and 1 concession voucher per person for $80. That’s basically a $10-$12 GA seat and concessions.

Our attendance fluctuates based on home opponents. An opponent that draws regional, national interest results in better attendance. Few bandwagon fans are interested in Rice or Utep. Ms. State, Boise, Hawaii, Texas A&M create interest for the casual fan. Even Northwestern, Southern, ULL , Grambling resulted in above average attendance in year one.

NSU (2), Southern (2), Grambling (1) were HORRIBLE actual attendance. Even the announced was way down from game 1. Grambling was just stupid and not a very good argument from you. We had more at Mississippi Valley when it was 110 degrees.

We need "banwagon fans" and we won't get them charging $35 a head to buy walk up tickets.

Try to keep up and stop sucking up to our Admin...

Totally agree, we need bandwagon fans, our home schedule outside of games in Shreveport don’t attract them, and ticket prices are ridiculous.

On another note your reading comprehension sucks, and I’m not sucking up, to anyone.
