Well, there is still time for a diplomatic solution, but the window keeps getting tighter, particularly based on what Trump has already said he would do.

Actually, it is more likely we could get to an acceptable diplomatic solution BECAUSE of Trump. Of course you can't see that, being blinded by TDS.

He still thought Obama's deal was "historic" when Trump called BS on the unilateral deal his hero gave Iran...apparently a great deal we had been owning them for 40 years

Actually? Are you disagreeing with anything I said in that post? The problem is that this crossed Trump’s own red line. Is he now willing to accept that?

That remains to be seen. Have you heard there are casualties?

So far, no American casualties. Everything is still TBD.

Because there were no US casualties, I think/hope Trump just makes some comments about continuing to watch Iran and not retaliate militarily. Now, if Iran, or their surrogates continue to harass US, or kill US personnel, then we hit them and hit them hard striking at their military capabilities or their enrichment facilities. As it stands now, Iran has been able to "save face" with this attack, and no real US harm done. I still would like to have President Trump pull out of Iraq, Syria, and Afgan completely.

No report of casualties. But Trump’s red line was not limited to casualties.

“We are the biggest and by far the BEST in the World! If Iran attacks an American Base, or any American, we will be sending some of that brand new beautiful equipment their way...and without hesitation!”

"They attacked us, & we hit back. If they attack again, which I would strongly advise them not to do, we will hit them harder than they have ever been hit before!"

Like I said the window is closing, if Trump takes another step to escalate we might have reached a point of no turning back. There is still time for a diplomatic solution, as long as Trump is willing not to retaliate as he said he would.

You can stop hyperventilating.....at least until we get a damage assessment. It is possible they intentionally hit NOTHING.

Why would you blame Trump, anyway? Iran's proxies killed an American contractor, shot down our drone, organized the attack on the embassy, used the pallet of cash they got (and money they made from the relief of sanctions) to fund Hezbollah and other terrorist organizations...not to mention the number of our guys they were responsible for killing during the Iraq war. Seems like anything we did was overdue.

Any diplomatic solution needs to include an end to their terrorism in the region and a guarantee they will NEVER get a nuke. I would suggest we are negotiating from a position of strength "like never before" and such an agreement is more likely now than before Trump's policy on Iran.

I am not hyperventilating. I was the first to point out that there is still an opportunity for a diplomatic solution. Maybe you should go back and reread my posts.

You thought your boy Obama had already fixed things. Look how that turned out.

Is this a joke? Obama’s “fix” was reneged by Trump. Trump’s brinkmanship may or may not work out in a better deal, but it certainly put Americans more at risk in the interim.

Re: Comments on the POTUS killing a Terrorist?

First, did the Iranians miss on purpose? Pundits are on both sides of that question, pointing out that recently Iran bullseyed a Saudi oil refinery with a ballistic missile indicating they have the capacity to hit what they are aiming at. But, on the flip side, Iran has different levels of missiles, some are better than others...i.e. technologically. Last night they apparently fired 15 of their inferior missiles, 4 of which malfunctioned and crashed inside of Iran. But! as inaccurate as those are they took a chance they might accidently hit a building with US troops and they'd really be in trouble today! It is too early to know for sure what the story is here.

That said, the Iranian regime is broadcasting on their state TV, their version of the fake news of CNN et al we have here, that they fired 30 missiles and inflicted many casualties on US Troops. They are lying to their people to save face and to appease the calls for revenge. Speaks volumes about a regime when it feels the need to lie to its people, ala the dems. They are weak and they know it. I say we don't allow them to get away with it. The Iranian people need to know the truth.

We are at a crossroads. We can follow the lib gameplan of appeasment and allow the Iranian regime to remain in power, and then continue to suffer their terrorist attacks and disruptions of life in the Middle East in particular, or we can use this as our invitation to escalate leading to regime change there. I will say this with 100% certainity and all of you listen carefully, we can do it now, or later, but we will end up having to do it. (Pay me now or pay me later, but pay you will!)

Let's get a coalition of Arab states and western powers together and take the fight to the Persians. The Arabs hate the Persians and have suffered from their attacks, for instance the recent attack on the Saudi oil refinery. I am surprised how passive, how chickenchit, the Saudis have been about this. Let's take out the Persians' military, especially their 2,000 missiles, their nuclear weapons' facilities, and their oil industry. Completely encircle that crap nation not allowing any trade in or out, until the population is starving. Bring them bastards to their knees.

Or! follow the path of Goosey and his lib friends and then have to attempt regime change after they have operational nukes. Yeah, that'll go so much better...

Trump left our allies hanging when he withdrew the US from the nuclear deal. Hopefully he can get them on board now regarding whatever his “plan” might be.
