Leaving Dallas at 8 am, picking up Mrs Russdawg in Haughton, on to Ruston for the game. Really need to get this one and move up from lower tier into mid pack.

If this team is to amount to anything this year, this is the kind of game they have to win. UAB is good...start 5 seniors! (probably all 25+ years old)...and they have owned us in Ruston (4-1 all time). But it is our home floor and this Techster team NEEDS a good win. Defend the arc! Oh, and make our FTs.

We're tied with Marshall and UTSA for spots 11, 12, 13 in CUSA, with UTSA having an edge for beating us

When we're hot we're hot, when we're not we're not. In our four home conference games, we beat two of the top 4 (UTEP, MTSU) shooting threes well: 11/22 and 12/20.respectively. In the two losses (UTSA and UAB) threes were 6/23 and 4/17. We'd been hitting 80% free throws in these, but against UAB only hit 3/12 after making the first 6. Good first half defense against UAB, everything collapsed in 2nd half.

GOTTA LOOK AHEAD AND MOVE ON. ANY OF THE NEXT FOUR ARE WINNABLE.

HOWEVER:
* Three of the next four already beat UAB!! Charlotte, WKU, Marshall.
* The other, ODU, is 6-1 in conference.

I like our ladies, their personalities, approachableness, character. I like Brooke as the face of our program and the academics/quality character she provides.

But we gotta win more.
