    Boxer:

with a little more thought, my biggest concern with this team is that I don’t think we have a DUDE. That guy that can take the ball in crunch time and create his own shot and close out a game. Bracey can create, but his free-throw shooting is atrocious. My first option would actually be a healthy Crawford receiving the ball at the free throw line. At least we can look forward to that going forward. If Bracey could get his FT shooting back up... maybe.

Now in fairness, we haven’t had that many historically. But, I do think you usually need one to get to the dance.

I actually think Archibald can fill that role. He's got the shot, the dribble and the drive. Bracey is playing within himself for the most part this season. I think he's realized that just to sit on the ball and try to force something up at the end of the shot clock doesn't often pay off. He's much better when he takes his opportunities earlier in a possession. Archibald has a clutch element about him. I think we saw it against North Texas. I want to see more of the ball in his hands when a game is on the line. His floater is the shot nobody can deal with when they press the perimeter and have a big guarding the rim.

It makes sense in my mind's eye. Now watch us go crap the bed against ODU. LOL

Let me just say I think our X Factor this season is Muhammed. Dude has been a beast on the glass. Something we have needed desperately. And I'm impressed with shot selection.

Definitely agree with you. He gets rebounds by heart and hustle. Love the way he plays!

absolutely no doubt. probably our most valuable player. but he will never be the guy to give it to and clear out. that is just not what he is.

LA Tech leads 10-5 early, with Bracey going to the free throw line to shoot 2.

ODU is killing us under the basket....tip-ins, offensive rebounds, etc...

I don't understand why we're not pressing on defense. ODU is playing lights out. I mean, ODU is NOT a good team, but they are making everything.

Defense needs to get better. .....Woops...just as I'm writing this, the Dawgs go to a 3/4 court press, and get a turnover. It's ABOUT TIME!

I'm starting to believe that Eric Konkol takes naps during games. LOL!

Tech leads 40-33 at halftime. Too many quick shots. Lots of fouls in this one, after very few in our last game against Charlotte.

Tech shot 48.1% from the field, and 43.8% from 3-pt land.

Tech was 7 of 9 (77.8%) from the free throw line in the first half. This is very good.

Who are the Trojans? Is that another name that ODU goes by, or is that a mistake by the TV team? The stat sheet used by the TV announcers before the game started, AND the one they just showed the halftime stats on, called ODU the Trojans both times.

ODU is still killing us with their Offensive Rebounding. Tech leads on the scoreboard 48-41 with 15:53 left.
