Surprised you guys missed the fact that Psaki was also not wearing a mask on federal property when she was asked the question.
But, yeah, big miss on Psaki’s part in not being able to explain how the executive order won’t apply to the person speaking when giving a public address when other suitable measures are taken to address transmission risk. Certainly the EO allows for some degree of flexibility in how it is administered.

I never saw anybody from Trump's admin bragging about 1M shots per day. I never saw or heard it even after Biden promised to deliver 100M in 100 days. I actually did a quick search last week trying to find a current # being given. I was able to find several breakdowns of the individual states, but never saw a total. I didn't take the time tally the state numbers.
It wasn't until I saw on Fox News this morning that some of the GOP guys were bragging about the numbers that were being given before Biden made the promise.
Anyway, it did lend more light to Biden's "Come on man..." reply in the presser.

Let's think about this -
Population of US is basically 330,000,000 or so
Claiming to have 100,000,000 completed vaccinations within the next 100 days - basically May 1st
Which would equate into basically slightly less than 1 out of every 3 persons being vaccinated
NO WAY IN HELL that happens by May 1st
They will be lucky if it happens by September 1st realistically

Strong logistics at the local and state level
Feds should only be pushing the vacs to the state level and the state should be pushing the vacs to the Parish/County level who are using the local resources in place to administer the vaccines - i.e. med centers, clinics, pharmacies, health units and other medicals entities - especially in the rural areas
I know here in the parish - if the vaccines were available, we (medical community and parish govt) feel that we could inoculate the entire parish (those who desire the vaccine) in less than 90 days...

I think you also need to account that they will say it's two shots, so really it was only 50 million people expected to be done under the Biden administration; and it will probably include the numbers from the Trump administration.
Certainly realistic considering they didn't know what to expect from the states handling things.
