People died because Trump, aided and influenced by, State TV waited until late March to take this seriously. Wasted valuable time that could have and should have been used to stamp this out before it blew up.
And, BTW, there are also plenty of COVID deaths that aren’t being counted because people weren’t tested.

Well, I do believe this event will cause more changes to the way we live our lives. Just as 9/11 forever changed air travel and other aspects of our lives, so too will this. Now, this does not have to be all bad. I hope we SLAM immigration shut tight! And in the future I hope any POTUS will immediately issue travel bans...as xenophobic as that may be....at the first inkling of trouble abroad.
This can be a good thing if the nation goes in the right direction and implements the right measures. But that's me being me, always looking for that silver lining.

Watched a video put together by a doctor in St. Louis explaining the C-19 virus and why/how it attacks humans like malaria does, which is a bacteria, Plasmodium. In a nutshell, C-19, like Plasmodium, attaches to red blood cells and prevents them from carrying oxygen. The anti-malaria drugs attack the disease by coating red blood cells in a shield that prevents the Plasmodium bacteria from being able to attach. When first infected, in both cases (C-19 and malaria) the body ramps up production of red blood cells since the body is screaming for more O2. Without the drug the invaders simply wait for the new red blood cells and attack them. Eventually the body begins to break down, organs will start to fail, as after shifting all extra resources to emergency red blood cell production, to no avail, the body wears out. And, in the case of C-19, it causes damage to the alveloi, the sacs in the lungs were O2 exchange takes place, i.e. red blood cells pick up new oxygen and circulate back through the body. This reduces the body's capacity to keep trying to supply oxygen. And the reason many patients end up on ventilators in advanced stages of the illness.
Caveat: I saw this video posted on Facebook, so it might be total BS. Had someone emailed me the link to this exact same video, I might feel more comfortable accepting it as accurate. But, since I arrived at it via FB ("where did you see that, on Facebook, LOL" - Goosey), well, I just don't know...
