I don't know why he did it...except he was being advised for months to lift the bans, or alter them, since the CDC said they no longer made sense. But, that was before confirmation of the mutated strains. Now, it will have no impact since Trump's edict was due to go into effect January 26 and it has already been rescinded. The travel ban is in place and at NO TIME was it not...dating back to last March when Trump first ordered it. Thus, please spare us the fake news that Americans got the virus because of the January 19th lifting order.
As for why he did it...to allow Biden to issue his own ban? To force Biden to issue a travel ban? I shrug my shoulders as I don't know.
I think Biden should issue travel bans on Mexico and all points south...not just Brazil. So, what do you have to say about Biden not issuing such travel bans?
I think Biden should follow the advice of scientists, whatever that turns out to be.
Okay...most scientists I know advocate for strict controls on our borders and all points of entry. You just don't know who, and how many, illegals are virus-positive. Better safe than sorry.
