    This was stunning.
Governor Andrew Cuomo admitted to Jewish leaders in New York State that the government’s coronavirus initiatives are not based on science but were based out of fear.”

This was quite an admission after Cuomo and his commie sidekick Bill DeBlasio destroyed the economy and claimed it was because of “science.”

Cuomo never said they weren't based on science, but it was driven by fear based on unknowns and what options were available.

“This is not a highly nuanced, sophisticated response; this is a fear-driven response. This is not a policy being written by a scalpel, this is a policy being cut by a hatchet, it's a very blunt - I didn't propose this, you know, it was proposed by the mayor in the city, I'm trying to sharpen it and make it better. But it's out of fear. People see the numbers going up, "Close everything! Close everything!" It's not the best way to do it, but it is a fear-driven response. The virus scares people. Hopefully we get the numbers down in the zip codes, the anxiety comes down, and then we can have a smarter, more tailored approach. Your point is right - why close every school, why don't you test the schools and close the ones that have a problem? I know, but first, I don't know that we have the resources to do that right now, but i can tell you honestly the fear is too high to do anything other than let's do everything we can to get the infection rate down now.”

Can add my dad and baby sister to this. My dad isn't unhealthy but he isn't healthy, either. It could be tough for him.

It's downright scary for my sister, though, because only half her heart works. She's been in and out of the Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock almost constantly since she was born. Only just started putting on weight and eating solid food (but not enough).

She got it at daycare. He got it from her.

A group of researchers from Columbia University say that between 130,000 and 210,000 Covid-19 deaths in the U.S. could have been avoided were it not for the government’s “abject failures” in managing the crisis — blaming an administration that was slow to act, ignored experts, and failed to adapt and improve over the course of the pandemic, as well as “woefully inadequate” contact tracing and testing and the lack of any national mask mandate or guidance.

And if there is any question as to what response to COVID is best for the economy, well China is back onto growth already and is the only major economy projected to have positive growth in 2020 by a large margin.

Turns out slamming the door shut on COVID is good for the economy. Who could have imagined that?

Meanwhile, this administration doubles down on the failed approach that has made us least successful.

“We are not going to control the pandemic. We are going to control the fact that we get vaccines, therapeutics and other mitigation areas," Meadows told CNN's Jake Tapper on "State of the Union."

Well past time for a change of leadership in the White House do we can get our country back to health and back to productive growth.

You are everywhere on the masking crap. Wearing a proper mask properly and distancing are not PC so you ignore the supposed importance. The tracing deal is total BS as shown by what we are doing to our own students at Tech.

Why do all you smart, well-informed people need the WH, Trump or Harris, either one, to tell you how to survive this China virus? One of my lib friends was hollering (all caps) on Facebook about people attending a recent public event and some not wearing masks, and hardly anyone staying strictly 6 feet apart. Why were you there, she was asked? OMG! she has every right to attend public events. Okay. Except YOU are the one complaining about others who were there. They weren't complaining...YOU stay away if you feel threatened. And, all you Goosey-types who NEED the POTUS to tell him what to do...when to get up, how to dress, what to eat for dinner...etc...would be better served just hunkering down in your basement. Quit your job/profession, allowing a real man (woman) to assume the position. Have your food delivered to your house with instructions to leave the packages and use the provided disinfectant to spray it all down...thanks.

On a larger scale mayors and governors can implement strict lockdowns. They don't need the POTUS' permission to it. And, if Harris is elected, that will slam the door on the rapid progress toward a vaccine and other treatments. Just watch! Harris, the Biden family, of course! Pelosi, et al and other Dem operatives/donors will effectively extort the pharmaceuticals into paying kickbacks in exchange for the guvmint allowing the work to continue. That will probably shut it down or at the very least, slow it down. Of course, Harris, Biden & Company will do it under the guise of "regulations." Write it down...today is October 25, 2020...remember where/when you heard it. Naturally, they will blame Trump for something he never did and they themselves would be doing.

I have been consistent on masking, social distancing and tracing.

We don’t need to do lockdowns if we have a consistent national response that is based on what the scientists recommend.
