...and you have no vision or idea what that would have looked like. You have yet to offer up ideas on how we could have created MILLIONS of test kits overnight or how you would have implemented a more stringent travel ban earlier than Trump did.
Early on medical science was saying this virus may be highly contagious but MOST people who get it will hardly notice. Thus, the general public, especially young people, completely dismissed it as a threat. Then later on young people were told it may not harm you but can kill your grandma and still too many folks down-played it. We also didn't know for sure anything about this virus...nothing! China was not helping with their misinformation campaign either. Had this virus started like Ebola did in Africa we would have had access to the infected region early on and we would have been better able to contain it in place, and also learn more about it when there was still time to nip it in the bud. AGAIN: The US, and other nations, offered China assistance in early December and were rebuffed.
One good thing that can come from this is the hope that this country, that Americans, will DEMAND! our political leaders put us first. That begins with tight controls on immigration...an absolute zero tolerance on illegals, and tighter control measures, testing, tracking legal immigrants. 9/11 forever changed airport procedures and the new normal is tight security we all have gotten used to (but still don't like). Well, people entering from foreign countries, legally, will have to endure tests, perhaps as simple as a taking temps to check for fever, and perhaps short-term quarantines for more stringent testing. And, this will include Americans returning from trips to overseas in some cases. And! our intelligence agencies will have to ramp up surveillance of high-risk regions of the world to more quickly identify threats as they start occurring.
Of course, we must bring key manufacturing back to our home soil. END forever! the dependency on China! Put them bastards out of business and let them return to the medieval feudal system that best suits the rest of the world.
This means that no libtards can ever hold powerful national offices again.

What evidence? The actual China timeline you continue to ignore? He never claimed it was beaten when he upset you and Rachel about the travel ban.
He claimed it the virus was under control on February 24. It wasn’t. Why do you think he said it was? Was he lying or incompetent?
It looks as though the entire medical community was caught with their pants down on this. Should the US have started testing with the same methods used overseas while developing our own test, probably. Was that Trump or the CDC that made that call?
Trump is in charge of the CDC and appointed the guy leading it. Democrats did not support the guy he appointed.
But, where is the evidence that Trump told that guy, “Hey, Jim, screw it, we’re not using anyone else’s test. We are making our own.” If you can show me where they guy wanted to use the same test as Korea and Trump overruled him, then I’ll grant you the win on that one.
So accountability doesn’t flow to the top?
What do you think would have happened if Trump said “do everything in your power to make sure these tests get out as quickly as possible to the places they are needed”?
It is obvious that was not his directive.
He was busy patting himself on the back for his China travel restrictions and declaring that the coronavirus was under control.
This is what happens when you put an incompetent disruptor in the most powerful position in the world. You guys wanted to weaken the government and you are now seeing one of the negative consequences of that.
