The writer didn't tell us about ALL of the miscues. I guess when it is the HC and he does it almost every game it is just "being aggressive".
Hopefully this series is one we can grow from, to see how you need to stay focused an entire game to win.
The baserunning continues to be an issue. He needs to take himself off third. Up 4-2 with a chance for a big inning, he sends parker trying to score from first on a double from manny. Not only was he out at home, but the catcher had the ball when Parker was a third to halfway from home. Not close at all, not to mention he could have gotten our best player hurt on the play (slid head first at the catchers feet). Flash forward to bottom half of the inning, similar situation for Troy, runner was held at third, they proceed to have a big 3 run inning. Almost certainly, that play at home was turning point in the game. Not a good look for Burroughs at 3rd.
We need a win today to avoid being swept by Troy (7-0). It will be interesting to see how our Dawgs react today.
7-5 loss even with the run. Through two games Troy is just better especially offensively. Last weekend our offense wasn’t stellar but our pitching was - this weekend I’m not sure there are any positives. I lost count of how many doubles Troy has hit.
Dogs win 9 - 0 & Whorff goes 9 innings. Only caught the 9th inning and thought I heard Teddy say he only faced 3 batters more than the minimum.
We could have mailed it in today but instead took Troy to the wood shed. HBTD!
Just beat lsu this week.
Or we keep the rally going with runners on 2nd and 3rd with one out. Can't predict what would have happened, but the ball was almost to the cutoff man when Bates touched 3rd. He was out even with an average throw from the cutoff man.

Well that was dumb.
