There is a facebook group. It has "ruston" in its name. It is comprised of some cruel SOBs who dont like anything. They make this board look like a land of sunshine and daisies.
Guiss surmises (and I agree), that this "ruston" centric FB board is likely where KTVE perceived the 'controversy' mentioned in their headline. (cf. posts 8-9).
l took the pill. my absolute least favorite and most favorite posters are in agreement... i will shut up
I think we can all agree that making a statement like the one found in the headline, whether true or not, without providing any documentation or evidence to support it, is lazy reporting.
Media outlets are only in business because people buy what they're selling. That's a free market. Questions of integrity or professionalism in a market economy are like asking what color is Friday. The value in a market is if you can sell a thing for more than it cost to produce.
Some customers prefer Pepsi to Dr Pepper. Some families like to vacation at the beach while others go skiing. Some folks like to consume right-wing media, while others prefer to consume left-wing media. A media company's only function is to deliver what its customers want. If more media outlets seem to tilt liberal, it's because that's what's selling. Supply meets demand.
And if "integrity" and "pride of profession" seem lacking, it's because the cost to produce those things is greater than that what it will sell for. That's not a worldwide liberal conspiracy; that's just capitalism.
