My 7th grader will be a senior in college
Is our AD looking to please in the MAC now?
Sounds like another 5 game home slate...
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
This was supposed to be in 2023? That actually would have been a pretty nice 4 FBS team schedule with P5 home, P5 away, G5 home, G5 away.
I guess the most likely replacement would be an FCS team. Hopefully we don't add a money game (just have one that year) or start another home-and-away on the road.
ULM has an opening.
We could start a home and home with Kansas that year (they have 2 P5 teams scheduled at home, maybe they'd be willing to travel).
Also, check out Tulane's 2023 - could they get a better OOC for them than Ole Miss, South Alabama, Mississippi St. all at home and a road game to USM? That's 2 P5 teams at home, 2 nearby G5 teams (one at home), all 4 in the surrounding area. Like that's probably 3 of the top 8 nearest schools geographically. Ole Miss has to be further than the Houston/SE Texas schools and other Louisiana schools, but still - certainly regional. Kudos to their AD.
Is SWAC or MEAC really FCS?
I think the hard part is that it takes two to tango. We could all certainly come up with good scheduling ideas, but if the other school won't sign on, there isn't much we can do.
We can't afford to pay much. We don't offer lots of tv eyeballs. We aren't in New Orleans or Houston or Dallas or San Antonio. And we just might beat you.
