Our big government President was supportive of the Kennedy Center part of the legislation: https://www.google.com/amp/s/thehill...onavirus%3famp
Google it.
Looks like in 2003, operating expenses for the Kennedy Center were 118 million for the year.
25 mill doesn’t sound out of line for a couple month hole in revenues.

So, Trump is wrong on the Kennedy Center bailout. Gee, you mean he isn't perfect after all? You mean I actually disagree with him on an issue? Wow! but then I am not mind-numbed robot like you libtards who march in Nazi lockstep with the dems...
And! don't you just love the Peace Corps..."firing" their 7,300 volunteers trapped in 61 countries so they, the high-paid executives, won't have to foot the bill. This bill allocates $88 million to bring those folks home. Do the math, that is over $12,000 per person. Send our military to retrieve them, and pay our gallant military the $millions for it. I know they have earned a little extra in pay...
Anyone defending this $2.2 trillion bill as written is either a dumb f_ _ k, or a big guvmint libtard. It is what it is. The option was to vote it down, and allow those really in need to continue to suffer or pass it and bite the bullet on all the fluff and waste. As one congressman said, "what's another $trillion+ of national debt at this point?" He said $1 trillion+ because about half the bill was legit, and about half total waste.
Aren't they already funded by the federal government for operations and maintenance. Is that not continuing during the virus? Also they receive a lot of their funding through private donations. Agreed their might not be that much through that any more but their expenses should be less if they're closed.
Out of 2.x trillion, 25 million is a drop in the bucket. I just think its strange with everything going on you call out one particularly facility.
If Trump's OK with it then it has my blessing. (Just kidding) I'm sure there are more wasteful things than this.
If 25 million is the only waste that can be found, then this was a huge legislative achievement given the size and speed.
Unfortunately, it's nowhere close to the other waste. I haven't gone thru this monstrosity line by line, but I tend to agree with the congressman who labeled about half as nothing but waste. And even if, oh wow! only $800 billion is waste and not the $1 trillion he says, that's close enough to declare the bill as nothing more than another example of "never waste a crisis."
Yep, Trump is wrong on this one, and wrong for using twitter to attack Massey from Kentucky. He was wrong to bypass the normal legislative process and negotiate directly with the dems, who are looking at this crisis to further their agenda and could care less about Americans being hurt by it. Never let a crisis go to waste, right?
So, show me the candidate for President that does not support this pork bill and who will not usurp the controlling party in the Senate (which happens to be his own party) and that candidate has my vote.
They’re out there, but you’ll have to be okay voting for someone who is not with a major parties. The quicker we break the 2-party system the better.
Turdbucket Republican Thomas Massie is going to try to slow this bill down in the House, but you can trust in Nancy to get the job done.
